This years birthday present

I got my birthday present today, I am really excited about it. I got a new violin, my old one has some issues that I just can't take anymore. First the pegs slip really bad, to the point I can't get it in tune anymore. Second the bottom is splitting, thanks to the wonderful Utah weather.

I want everyone to know I hate the case, my violin moves in it so much. Also you may or may not notice the paperclip on the bridge, that is there because the sound post is off just slightly, so having the paperclip on helps with the sound.


Here is the new one. I love the color.




The new one is not perfect, but it will be much better then the old one. There is one major issue though. This is a picture of the bow taken looking straight down at it.

After playing with it a little I realized the wood is actually warped. So for now I am going to have to use my old bow, which I have had since my first violin. So it is only a 3/4 sized bow, instead of a 4/4. Oh well, I am use to it.

Just a little rambling from me

Alright I have been trying to look into car seats a little. I know it may seem a little early, however I have been trying to find out what ones are more safe. A couple of people have told me that all car seats have ratings. I looked into the ratings and found out they were not saftey ratings, they were ease of use ratings. After doing a little homework I found out that the ease of use ratings are issued by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Saftey Administration), they only issue the ease of use ratings to the car seats that pass Federal Safety Standards and strict crash performance standards. This makes me feel a little better, but it still doesn't answer my initial question.
So I am going to start a little discussion. I want to know what everyone who has had either kids or car seats tell me what car seats they like, or dislike and why.
I am not really a name brand person, so I don't care if is a brand I have never heard of. I just want to know everyones thoughts.

Christmas

I know a lot of you out there don't really want to be thinking about Christmas yet. However I have a friend Brittany that is going to be really sweet, she is going to make hair bows for me for my nieces for Christmas, if I can ever figure out what ones I want. She has so many wonderful ideas, you should check out her bows and Halloween costumes that are so cute, so check out her out.

My day today...

Yesterday I got a migraine, the doctor had given me a prescription for a medication. It has codeine, and just about every time I take codeine, I end up feeling worse then I did to start with, so I hadn't gotten it filled yet. So I took Tylenol, which is kind of like putting water on a grease fire...
So I went to bed at about 8:00pm last night, around 11:30pm I woke up needing to go to the bathroom. In the process I realized my head hadn't gotten any better at all, I was hoping that sleep would ease it, but it didn't. So after I washed my hands I went downstairs and got more Tylenol. Within 30 minutes my head had hurt so bad my body couldn't take it anymore, and I started throwing up. I threw up more today, then I have my entire pregnancy, and I ended up getting my prescription filled, so now I can see, hear, and eat again. Yippy!!

I should mention that I did spend almost all day in bed sleeping, and I was finanlly able to get up and move after I listened to the Saturday morning session of Genenral Conference. Something about the General Authorities voices always seem to calm me, and usually that means falling asleep. It helped though, so I could go get my prescription filled when Kraig got home.

Update

I got to hear the babies heartbeat today!! It was so awesome to hear it!!

I found out a the results of my blood tests from last week, but that is boring. The heartbeat isn't!!
