This year my theme for the year has been : Live Authentically. Personally I'd say I did well at it. I am not perfect by any means, but I am doing better then I had been. I have been doing better at standing up for myself, and I have been doing better at saying no. I have also been taking more time for myself. I get so wound up that taking time away for a little while isn't selfish, it is necessary so that I can care for my family.
So next year's theme is one I borrowed (slightly), from a quote by Henry David Thoreau in Walden. The quote from Thoreau is "I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life".
My theme for 2014 is: Live Passionately & Deeply
We spend so much of our time working to survive. I don't want to work to survive. I want to live. I want to enjoy the wonders, and the beauties. I want to break traditions, I want to create something new, and I want to dive deeper into my life. There is so much out there, so many people that I don't get to spend enough time with, so many people that I have to spend too much time with.
I know I am already an impassioned person, so living my life passionately should be a no-brainer. The problem is I worry about what others will think of me, and I let the fear of the unknown hold me back. I have let the judgments of others rule my actions.
I believe that this is just another way for me to live my life more authentically.
