Digital Scrapbooking

Alright, I spent all day Saturday learning how to scrapbook digitally. Here are a few of the pages I did. (The picture of my grandparents in the last post is one as well.)

Strange thoughts

This is a picture of my grandparents wedding. They have been married for over fifty years, I believe they just recently celebrated their 51st or 52nd anniverary. (Note, I talked to my mom and my grandparents anniversary was on the 20th, and it was their 52nd!!!)



Kraig and I have only been married for just over 7 years. To think about being married for 50 years, is mind blowing. Time flies, but to try and think about 50 years is very crazy.
Anyway, I just thought that I would throw that out there.

Looking for a new car

Well my car is starting to have issues so we really do need a new car. After looking at several different kinds of cars, we thought about getting a new SUV, but with gas prices getting so bad we decided that an SUV wasn't going to work. So after a lot of research we decided to that the Honda Civic is most likely going to be my next car. I hate buying new cars!! Here is a picture of the one that I would like to get, but we will see when the time comes.

My Weekend

Well I has a kind of exciting weekend. Saturday night I went to dinner with a couple of my high school friends Liz and Caren. It was really fun we talked, and joked, and it was almost like years hadn't passed since we had last seen each other. Also because of them, I have now made a promise to my husband, to make Peanut butter cookies (yes Liz, I really gave Kraig the note).

Sunday, my extended family had Family Home Evening. We went to the City Cemetery, and used a GPS to mark the graves of some of my family members. It is kind of odd to think about all the people that came before me, and everything they went through.

Pictures

Alright, I bought Kraig his birthday present yesterday, yes I know it is a month early, but I got it and gave it to him early. I got him a Digtal SLR camera. He has always loved photography, so I figured this would be a really good present for him, and so far he loves it. Here are some of the pictures he has taken, some he has even had fun photo-shoping.

Things in my world that make me smile

I stole this from my sister-in-law Jillyn, I thought it was a good idea.

1. Taking pictures. I love to take pictures and I wish that I didn't spend all day cooped up in my office, so that I could be outside taking pictures of what I see.

2. Camping. It has been along time since I have been able to go camping, but I love it. I don't mind sleeping in a tent, I like being away from all the traffic, and craziness of everyday life. I enjoy just being in the middle of nowhere. I love nature, and I love to just be able to get away from everything.

3. My Family and Friends. It is so nice to be able to have my friends around me, and have their advice, and love. I am grateful that I have such a great family too. I love my in-laws they are wonderful.

4. Spring Flowers. I am just so tired of the snow, and rain. Right now it is just so nice to see the flowers start blooming. I even have a few tulips in my yard that are starting to bloom. I just wish I had some daisies too.

5. Warm Sunny days. Again, I am tired of the snow. So the days that are warm and sunny, just mean that I have the possiblity of doing something fun outside.

6. My nephews and nieces. I know I said family, but I think the little kids deserve their own little spot. They are all so cute, and so every different. It just amazes me at how different they can be, and how funny they all are.

7. Music. I can not live without it. It is so much a part of who I am, that I just can't handle not having music on pretty much all the time.

8. My Grandpa Curly's stories. I love to just sit and listen to my grandpa talk about when he was younger, and growing up. To hear the stories of my great grandma, and my grandpa's brothers and sister, is always so fun for me.

9. My two dogs. Rusty and Gabby are absolutely crazy. Rusty is a little Jack Russell, that is turning out to be our lazy dog. Gabby is a Border Collie mix, she is very hyper, but usually really sweet.

10. Kraig. No matter what he is the one that listens to all my venting, and all my crazy thoughts. He is the one that trys to make me laugh when I am trying to be serious. He is the one that at the end of the day is always there no matter what.

Well since I don't have kids, and my daily life seems to be the same everyday. You will have have to just deal with my random thoughts of life.

Well this is just a start and I don't know how well this will go, but we will give it a try!!!
