Here's what I got McKenna

This is what I got McKenna for her Bridal shower, there are three essentials, a set of mixing bowls, a food chopper, and my favorite the OXO "sauce spoon", and almost all of the ingrediants to make Chocolate Better Than Sex cake, yummy!! The only thing not here is the whip cream that I left in my frigde, oops. It's a good thing they are living kind of close!!

The shower was fun, we had a good time. The family that McKenna use to nanny for in Rhode Island came down for the wedding, their kids haven't seen McKenna in a year, and they really miss her. It was nice to meet them. Anyway, here are some random pictures from the shower.

This is from her Stepmom Debbie, I know you can't really see everything in here, but it had a few necessities like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, his & hers shaving cream, and a whole bunch of other house hold items

Just a little showing off...

Well my cousin McKenna is getting married on Friday, and tomorrow is her bridal shower, I went to buy her a card, and decided to make one for the shower on my own. This is what I came up with.



I also decided to center her present around a theme, so I decided to get a couple of recipes to go with her present. I will tell every one tomorrow after her shower what I did for her... but here are the recipe cards I made for her, they aren't wonderful, but I am hoping they will at least pass as cute.





I will update everyone tomorrow when I get the chance on what I did for her.

Alright I drew this on my tablet, it isn't wonderful. I reverted back to the things I know I can draw, kind of. I used Corel Painter Essentials, and soft pastels. Not to bad, but it shows that I am not really an artist.

Just more random thoughts

Ok my birthday is in a little over four months, but I already bought my present to myself. I am getting the Bamboo Fun.

I have been playing around with Photoshop so much lately that I am really excited to get it. Kraig has been teasing me about getting it so early, but I just couldn't wait. I get so impatient when it comes to things like that. I am kind of sad that I have to wait for it to ship here. It is coming UPS ground, so it will be at least a week before I get. I am really excited, I have been researching getting a tablet for a while, and decided to get the Bamboo Fun, I am getting it in the blue, and also the "medium" size. They only have two sizes, so really I got the big one.

Also I have been having so much fun playing with photoshop, I have learned how to do some pretty cool things. I didn't realize just how much you could do with Photoshop Elements, I am loving it!! Maybe one day I will actually post some of the scrapbook pages that I have done.

Alright, Kraig's cousin-in-law Emily does a question of the week. I thought that I would answer it. I also decided that I kind of liked how she did it, so I am going to use the same format that she did it in. I hope she doesn't mind?? So here goes

What advice would you give a younger you?

Her favorite things

• She loved being in seminary

• She was content to be who she was
• She liked being the odd one out
• She enjoyed hanging out, and having fun

What I would tell her

• When you see the two people that your first reaction is to hug them do it, you won't see them again
• Date more!!
• Enjoy life, it doesn't slow down, it only gets faster
• When you buy the house, go for the other one, you will probably like it more
• When you buy your washer, buy the front loader the first time around you will be happier with it
• Don't be surprised to find out you still love hanging out with Caren, Liz, and Mary
• Don't be afraid to stand up for what you want, before you move out
• Be grateful, it could have been a lot worse
• Say good-bye to the one person that you forgot, you will regret it later that you didn't
• It will work out, and it will be great

My 4th of July

In all honesty, we didn't do much of anything. We decided that it was way too hot in our house to stay home, so we went to lunch at the Pizza Factory. We each got our own mini pizza's Kraig got Alfredo Chicken, and I had BBQ chicken. Which, because I wasn't paying attention, I ended up having to pick off all the mushrooms. I can't eat mushrooms, because of the texture, if I feel them when I eat I will start gagging. My pizza was sooo good. I could only eat half of it, but I took the rest home to eat for lunch today, yum! As we were about to leave our waitress came up to us and told us thank you for the tip, and gave us some cookies. Kraig and I were really surpised by this, in fact when we got in the car, I double checked my math and just made sure, I didn't do a huge tip that I didn't mean to, and I didn't. So I was just really suprised that she said anything, it just kind of made us both feel good.

After lunch we ended up going back home so that I could put my left overs in the fridge. Where we stayed, until Kurt called us, and Kraig and Kurt decided to have a small BBQ. We had chips, hambergers, hot dogs, salad, and pasta salad. Kraig and I brought root beer, and cherry limeade. Stacy's sister Mandie and her husband Anthony came too. After we ate we play the board game, " Battle of the Sexes: Test Your IQ". We had a lot of fun, and just a side note, the girls did end up winning.

I would also like to throw this out there. I am so grateful that we live in this country, and all the freedoms that we enjoy. I am also very grateful for all the people that have fought for us to have those freedoms.

101 things about me

Well Kraig's cousin in-law, Stacy, tagged me so here is my list it has taken me a little while to get the list together, but here it goes...

101. I have the tendancy to put off things that need to be done, but I really don't want to...I am pretty sure this is nothing out of the ordinary.

100. I sometimes miss playing my violin, I wasn't very good, but it was a nice outlet.

99. I hate cleaning my house, it is such a pain to clean, because I have more stuff then I really have room for, I think the only way I would have room is if I threw everything away but the furniture :(

98. I hate getting up and going to work every day, I really wish that I had a job that I could either work when I wanted, or just work from home.

10. I wish I knew how to dance, I have often thought about going to the arts center, and learning all the dances they teach, but I am a coward.

8. I would really like a bigger house, sometimes I feel the one we have is way too small for all the stuff we have.

7. I love old movies, I think I can drive Kraig nuts with them. "Court Jester" with Danny Kaye is one of my favorites.

3. I can not live with out music, and I have a very eclectic mix, everything from Beethoven to Eminem, and just about everything in between. There isn't a genre that I don't like at least a one song. In fact my blog name is the name of one of my favorite songs.

2. I often miss my extend family, and wish that we were all at least in the same state.

1. Kraig is my best friend, we never dated, and every day that we are together I cherrish. I love him with all my heart.
